The translator tells me that in Greek the word for elbow\u00a0(\u03b1\u03b3\u03ba\u03ce\u03bd\u03b1\u03c2) is only one letter different from struggle (\u03b1\u03b3\u03ce\u03bd\u03b1\u03c2)\u00a0or agony (\u03b1\u03b3\u03c9\u03bd\u03af\u03b1) &#8211; for those with a musical ear. It is a testament of the depth and strength of ideology that even at such a young age we didn\u2019t just think to lick each other\u2019s elbows.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, my friend\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sarahmoriartyparty.tumblr.com\/\">Sarah Moriarty<\/a>\u00a0tells me that my thought is rather similar to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Allegory_of_the_long_spoons\">Allegory of the Long Spoons<\/a>, which some rabbis came up with a long time ago.
