She: Do we get extra pay for working bank holidays?
He: yes, but only if it’s on you’re normal shift patterns. You get time and a half. Or you can take a day off. But if you sign up for the shift it’s normal pay.
She: I don’t work on Mondays at the moment. But a day off would be good.
Me: one day none of us will have to work ever again.
She: of course, when we’re dead.
Me: No, when all of our bosses are dead.
She: what are you on about?
